By Sylvère G. — produced by Soul Rebel Studios.

Zouk Express takes French expressions on a musical journey under the Caribbean sun. Across ten original songs, Sylvère G. plays with the colourful expressions used in everyday French and gives them a new life through music. “Monter sur ses grands chevaux”, “avoir un chat dans la gorge”, “pleuvoir des cordes”, “poser un lapin” or “se jeter dans la gueule du loup” become the starting points for stories filled with humour, wordplay and unexpected situations.

The common thread is zouk, with its warm, melodic and danceable rhythms. Each expression becomes a destination and each song a new stop on a journey where the French language meets the musical colours of the Caribbean. Beyond the humour and double meanings, each track also tells its own story: Zouk Express plays with words while keeping you singing, dancing and travelling.

Musical colours — Zouk and Caribbean-inspired arrangements driven by danceable rhythms, warm bass lines, percussion, keyboards, guitars and backing vocals. A bright, sun-filled musical palette accompanies the lyrics and their wordplay throughout the ten stops of Zouk Express.
