Like the NT5, the RØDE NT55 is a cardioid condenser pencil microphone. The NT55 also features a 3-position attenuation control (0, –10dB, –20dB) and a 3-position low-cut filter (off, 75Hz, 150Hz). It also comes with an NT45-O omnidirectional capsule. Designed for recording acoustic instruments, drum overheads, cymbals, and live performance, this externally polarized mic features a 1/2" capsule and an active J-FET impedance converter with a bipolar output buffer. Its tight cardioid polar pattern also makes it ideal for recording dialogue in the studio, whether mounted on a stand or boom pole. Finished in a durable satin nickel finish, the NT55 is available alone or as a matched pair.
